About the person

Physicist and planetary scientist Audrey Vorburger is an assistant professor at the Physics Institute at the University of Bern. Her research focuses on the icy moons of the gas giants in the outer solar system. She uses simulations and mass spectrometric measurements to study their composition in order to learn more about the origin of our solar system and the possibility of life beyond Earth. Audrey Vorburger is the lead scientist of the NIM mass spectrometer on board ESA’s Juice mission and is also involved in various other space missions.
