Stephanie Ganal-Vonarburg investigates how the gut microbiota can influence the human immune system. In the video, she talks about her research and the challenges of doing science as a mother of young children.
About the person
Stephanie Ganal-Vonarburg is assistant professor at the Department for Biomedical Research (DBMR) at the University of Bern. Her research group focuses on the question of how the commensal microbiota and environmental factors in early life influence the maturation of the immune system and other physiological processes in the body.
