Isabelle Stadelmann-Steffen conducts research into how people make decisions in different political contexts. This is particularly important in Switzerland with its direct democracy. In the video, she also talks about why she works part-time (80%).

Isabelle Stadelmann-Steffen
Isabelle Stadelmann-Steffen is a professor of comparative politics at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern. Her research interests are in the areas of public policy (especially welfare state policy and energy policy), direct democracy, and political behavior and attitude research. In her current research projects, she is working not least on the interfaces between these areas of focus. For example, she is investigating how policy content in areas such as family policy and energy policy influence the political preferences of citizens.
